The Roastar Website Refresh

We did our best to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes. The deeper we dug into the old site, the more things we thought of that could inspire folks on their packaging journey.

Our customers aren’t the only ones who deserve to look like a big deal.

After a couple of years in the works, we’re proud to unveil the latest edition of Roastar.com! This project was way more than a fresh coat of paint (but yeah, it looks great too). Navigation is smoother than ever. Every resource page is updated, maximally informative, and just plain fun to read.

Actually, when it comes to that last part, we’ve got an introduction to make… but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Read on for the rundown of everything the updated site has to offer!

So what changed – and why?

For starters, let’s touch on some of the most user-friendly upgrades we’ve made. Like helping you understand all of the benefits of our different packaging categories at a glance.

Anatomy of a Gusset Bag

We also made sure you could easily filter the content on every page to get exactly the info you need, super fast (almost as fast as our packaging makes it to your door).

Packaging features and accessories

Everything you can click on is responsive and clear; when you make a selection, new options might pop up and those that are no longer available get crossed out. You get all the benefits of a flowchart without any of the runaround!

How did you decide what to add?

We did our best to put ourselves in our customers’ shoes. The deeper we dug into the old site, the more things we thought of that could inspire folks on their packaging journey. We doubled down on transparency, too – like adding customer testimonials.

Customer testimonials from Death Wish Coffee and Fire Department CoffeeFeedback from people just like you shaped a ton of the updates. We didn’t want anyone getting lost or confused about the next step in their packaging journey, so we whipped up helpful solutions that built on what worked.

You said something about an introduction?

Yup! Guidance, friendliness, and ways to stand out are some of the most important parts of the “whole package” Roastar offers. We wanted a way to symbolize that – embody it, even. We think we’ll let the star of this section speak for himself…

Sterling the star - Roastar's online mascot

Sterling is full of helpful, relevant advice. Keep an eye out for him across the site and on our socials!

So is your packaging process different now?

Don’t worry – we try to keep improving and adding functionality (like how our Online Design Tool now includes Tin Can designs), but we’ve kept everything that worked about our quote and project process pretty much the same.

Our customer service is more dedicated than ever, our production team makes miracles happen daily, and our lead times are still second to none.

What’s the best way to keep up with all this stuff?

Facebook and Instagram – will also keep you in the know.

We’ve got big plans, like content that walks you through following your coffee-roasting dreams, blogs that expand on our sustainability commitments, and everything in between.

It’s not all about the future, though; there’s tons to explore, learn, and enjoy in every nook and cranny of our new site. After all, it was built to make your packaging journey better in every possible way!
