The Wrapped bag collection program is designed for retail store fronts as a recycling solution that allows you to collect and return used Roastar recyclable bags, ensuring they are diverted from the landfill and given a second life. Roastar provides a ready-to-use cardboard collection box for your retail space upon request, free with orders of 5,000 or more recyclable bags or available for a $150 fee at lower volumes. This program is only available to customers located in the continental United States.

Place the box in a high-traffic area of your café or retail space to encourage customers to return their empty packaging. Each box (12" x 12" x 26") arrives pre-assembled, holds approximately 1,000 bags, and includes a reusable plastic pedestal (assembly required) that elevates the box six inches off the ground to meet Health and Safety standards.

The program is designed specifically for Roastar’s store drop-off recyclable packaging, including gusset bags, flat bottom bags, and stand up pouches. It is not intended for other packaging types or bags from other suppliers. All bags must be empty, clean, and dry.

Once the box is full, ship it back at no cost by following the provided return process. Roastar sends the collected material to its recycling partner, Trex, where it is repurposed into durable composite decking made from up to 95% recycled and reclaimed materials. This process keeps packaging in use and out of landfills.

The Wrapped program gives your customers a clear, convenient way to recycle their packaging while reinforcing your brand’s commitment to reducing waste. It is visible, actionable, and easy to participate in, helping you stand out in a market where consumers value sustainability.

Collected bags are repurposed into durable composite decking through Roastar’s recycling partner, Trex.

After return, the bags are consolidated and sent to Trex, which for 30 years has transformed reclaimed plastic film and wood scrap into high-performance outdoor products. The material is blended with reclaimed wood to create decking made from up to 95% recycled content.

In other words, yesterday’s coffee bag becomes tomorrow’s deck board, keeping waste out of landfills and in use for decades.

You’ll receive data on the number of bags collected, estimated emissions savings, and total bags diverted from the landfill. This makes it easy to monitor progress toward goals and share measurable results with your customers and team.

Return your collection box by sealing it and scheduling a FedEx pickup using the provided prepaid label.

Once the box is full, remove it from the pedestal, tape the lid securely, and cover the top slot with tape. Then arrange pickup through FedEx. The pedestal is reusable and should not be returned. Contact your sales rep to request a replacement collection box.
