Yes. Our custom-printed rollstock is compatible with both vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) and horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) packaging equipment.

Rollstock minimum order is only 1000′LF per artwork file.

Things to verify before ordering:

1. What is the required width of the roll? We need to know how wide to slit the rollstock based on the equipment specs.

2. What is the maximum outside diameter per roll (or weight per roll) that you or your co-packer can accommodate?

3. We produce rollstock on a standard 3” core. Please verify that this core is compatible with your co-packer.

Your impression dimensions are determined by your roll width need and your cut-off or repeat length. An impression is your bag/pouch size prior to folding or sealing. Your artwork is set up to your impression size and in turn produces 1 bag/pouch.

No—your finished bag size may include things like fin seals or folds that have to be accounted for in the impression size. Therefore, a finished bag size does not always equal the printed impression size.

Forming equipment can often accommodate a range of bag sizes and materials. Start by identifying your desired bag style, dimensions, and design, then confirm that your equipment can produce those specifications. We can provide a trial roll featuring your printed artwork and selected material so you can test it on your equipment before placing a full order.

Since there are various models and makes of forming equipment in the industry, your needs could vary between ours. Therefore, a dieline should come from your machine manufacturer or your co-packing facility, as they will know the specs of the particular forming equipment being used.

Unwind / rewind direction is the orientation of the printed material coming off of the roll. The design of your forming equipment determines the rewind direction required. This is important in assuring your end bag results are as expected. Inquire with your co-packer or machine manufacturer to confirm your unwind needs.

The outer diameter is the measured diameter of the core and printed material. It is important to understand your max OD requirements to ensure the rollstock is not too large or too heavy for your machine.

Roastar's printing presses are not equipped to add features such as valves, tear notches, or zippers to rollstock packaging. Typically, your forming equipment will have this ability to place in-line during the forming process. Inquire with your machine manufacturer or co-packer to determine their capabilities.
