Our biodegradable bags demonstrated approximately 15% breakdown in one year under ASTM D5511 testing, which simulates anaerobic landfill conditions (not composting environments.) Unlike traditional plastic bags that can take 500 to 1,000 years to break down and often leave behind harmful microplastics, our bags are engineered to degrade more quickly in landfill-like environments.
