Flat Bottom pouches (a.k.a. box bottom or square bottom bags) are 4-sided with a flat, rectangular base - that's a lot of surface area for your custom design and brand to shine! They are the most stable, self-standing bag type. A popular choice for coffee packaging, flat bottom bags offer several closure styles to reseal after use and keep product fresh. When filling, this bag style has a wide open top and will need to be heat-sealed shut.

The minimum order quantity is 1000 bags. We require a minimum of 1000 bags per artwork file. The minimum per artwork file is a bit higher on this bag style because the machine requires added set up and changeover time - it's also double the length of any other pouching equipment, requiring more TLC to produce these beautiful bags.

The flat bottom machine's changeover time is elaborate, so we stick to our three standard size offerings that accommodate 8 oz - 16 oz of coffee. If you have a large volume request for a custom size, please connect with our customer service team.

The capacity and bag sizes we provide are approximations only. The capacity (ex. 1 oz, 2 oz) is based on tests using whole coffee beans. A bag's capacity will vary depending on the product - and for coffee, the type of bean and style of roasting impacts fill volume. For example, salt vs. tea; salt weighs more than most teas. We highly suggest ordering our sample pack to trial fill your product to determine the right size for your needs.

The bag sizes listed (ex. 5 x 9.25 x 2.875) are the bag's outer dimensions (edge-to-edge). For a more accurate estimation of whether your product will fit inside the bag, rely more on the "fillable dimensions" - This takes into account the heat seal areas, zipper, etc.

The flat bottom pouch can be filled from the top and then heat sealed shut above the pocket zipper or tin tie (if applicable).
