Job Purpose

As an Email Marketing Manager, you will be tasked to develop, implement and optimize email marketing strategies for Roastar while building subscribers and connecting with our target audience. Objectives include email content creation, production, scheduling, list segmentation, and performance analysis to drive orders and foster strong relationships with our subscribers and customers. This role will also provide insights to optimize email campaigns, improve engagement and drive measurable results.

  • Develop email content calendar in collaboration with the broader marketing and sales functions.

  • Create email campaigns in email software platform; gathering stakeholder feedback and sign-off prior to deployment.

  • Manage Roastar’s email subscriber base and establish critical mailing segments within the email platform.

  • Analyze email performance and share critical insights and strategic optimizations back to the broader organization.

  • Establish A/B testing strategy and run frequent tests on subject lines, content, and send times.

  • Work in partnership with the Sales, Marketing, and eCommerce functions to optimize triggered email flows across the Roastar customer journey.

  • Collaborate with the creative team to brief and review email assets, ensuring brand tone and performance are balanced.

  • Shape Roastar’s subscriber list, building strategies and collaborating with brand marketing to implement them.

  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to build a cohesive marketing strategy for Roastar across all owned, earned, shared and paid marketing levels.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings, show accountability for completing to-dos, providing feedback on projects, and staying engaged in company & department related issues.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   •  Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 4+ years’ experience in email marketing, retention, or lifecycle marketing.

  • Experience producing and deploying emails in typical email marketing platforms.  Mailchimp experience is not required but is preferred.

  • Proven track record of increasing email marketing engagement and sales performance in a D2C or B2C environment over a sustained period of time (1yr +).

  • Success managing subscriber base and developing content strategies that deliver a personalized customer experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Can-Spam laws and business compliance and best practices.

  • Ability to turn product info and brand insights into compelling messaging.

  • Skilled problem solver and ability to get things done with existing resources.

  • Comfortable managing campaign development from start to finish.

  • Creative background and copywriting skills are a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about organizational excellence and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with multiple priorities, prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines.

  • Dependable and punctual.
