Custom Designed Packaging Just Got Easier

In our quote tool, you’ll want to select Bag or Pouch, specifically Gusset Bag or Flat Bottom Pouch. You can also select Tin Cans - those are the only products that our Online Design Tool is linked to, right now. We will continue to add additional options throughout 2024!

Clicking on Gusset Bag, Flat Bottom Pouch, or Tin Can Type will pull up a realistic 3-D render of your packaging next to your selections. Then you’ll get to decide how many bags or cans you need.

Our Online Design Tool lets you place an order as low as 10 units for Tin Cans, 100 units for Gusset Bags or 1,000 units for Flat Bottom Pouches. In case you fall in love with your design, though, you can order as many as you like!

After the quantity decision comes the Artwork Design portion. This tutorial is for our Online Design Tool, which you’ll access by picking Select a Pattern. If you’re curious what Uploading Custom Artwork is like, that’s a whole other can of (coffee) beans. We go over it in detail here!

Before you make any design choices, you’ll see the 3-D preview on the left of your screen get updated with one of our pattern options, just to confirm that’s the direction you’ve picked. The Product Design button will take you to the good stuff!

You’ll see a list of pattern options (with some fun names) before you go on to pick your colors. There’s also a drop-down menu of themes to help you find special patterns and seasonal designs. Click on each option to get a closer look at it with your 3-D preview! There are thousands of combinations, and you’ll get to customize your design even further by adding an image or text.

The logo and text part of the Online Design Tool is totally optional, so if you don’t have an image or message you want to use right now, that’s A-OK.

Before you can review your quote, there’s a chance you’ll be asked to create a Roastar account. Once you sign up, you’ll see all the nitty gritty of pricing, with a chance to make any tweaks you see fit.

With our fully custom artwork workflow, we’d start with a digital proof before strongly recommending a flat, physical print of your design (which is free as part of that process). For the Online Design Tool designs, you’ll skip all that back & forth! You can instantly review a PDF of your bag design before you check out! Just be sure to check the “I acknowledge” button if everything looks right.
